Let's say someone wrote and then let's just say I answered...

Dearest Denise,
Why are you so slack when it comes to maintaining your site and loading it with new material?
Signed,
Just Curious

Dear Curious,
Ah, another good question! It's because I'm one of those folks who has had to come crawling, kicking, screaming, spewing and mewling into the 21st Century. Now that we're six years in, I figure it's time to do something about it. And so, I'm in the midst of an update: My computer, as well as my computer skills (and maybe even my hairstyle, though don't count on it) are getting revved up and ready to roll. With a wing and a prayer, I'll be up to speed by the end of the decade!

Dear Ms. Sullivan,
How did you come to write a book about the White Stripes?
Signed,
A Reader

Dear A Reader,
Thanks for writing and I'm glad you asked. I had initially thought that I was going to write a book about the little known bluesy-rock vocal legend, Terry Reid. A couple of months after meeting with my publisher, I was writing a book on the widely known, bluesy-rock Stripes. I am happy to report that I am currently working on researching the life and times of Terry Reid.

Oops, time to update this. I have since scrapped the Reid project (though I did write the linernotes to Silver White Light/Live at the Isle of Wight 1970, issued in 2004 on the Water label). I am currently in various stages of my next projects: A collection of personal essays, a young adult novel and my next rock book, tentatively titled, Time Has Come Today: The African-American Rock Experience.
Yours truly,
Ms. Sullivan

If you had already written, your letter would be posted here by now...
